WEEK 2: THE STAIR

ACCELERATION:

The connotations of the noun 'Acceleration' led me to design a sleek and sharp looking spiral staircase that aims to create more of an exhilarating experience for its user. The apparent smooth flow of the spiral staircase is created by an abundance of jagged stair treads which elaborates on the very nature of acceleration. The staircase forms a sharp object from every angle it is viewed furthermore suggesting the notion of movement.
